It Wasn't My Idea, But It Has to Be My Choice

Your purpose was not your idea, but it is your choice. In 1 Thessalonians 5, Paul prays that spirit, soul, and body be kept blameless. This message asks which of the three is leading you. The body is the vehicle. The soul holds your mind, will, and emotions. The spirit is where God speaks. The enemy does not want your house or your bank account. He wants your mind.

Jonah ran from the presence of God, not from Nineveh. Elijah felt alone in a cave while God had already prepared people to help him. John the Baptist had to decide to keep going in the wilderness. Each of them chose what to do with a calling they did not invent.

If you wonder whether you missed it, God knew you before you were born. Renew your mind each day and keep going.
