Mirror, Mirror on the Wall
God's Word works like a mirror. It shows us what is really there, and it asks what we will do next.
In James 1:19-25, James warns that hearing the Word without doing it is like looking at your face and forgetting what you saw. Pastor Bruce looks at who James was, a brother of Jesus who once did not believe, and what changed him. The tension is easy to spot. We can know Scripture, quote it, and still lose our temper, speak carelessly, or act like the people around us.
Pastor Bruce shares how a hard few weeks tested what he was preaching. Then he asks a direct question. When people watch your life, whose reflection do they see?
The good news is that the same Word that shows the flaw can also fix it. Open it, let it work on you, and become a doer of what it says.
