The Word Who Was Always There

John's Gospel opens with the most direct claim in the entire Bible about who Jesus is. In this session, Pastor Isaiah walks through John 1:1-5, the opening of a 49-part verse-by-verse study through the Gospel of John at Hope City Church. Before Jesus is ever born in a manger, John tells us He was already there, existing before creation itself, distinct from the Father, and fully God. The session works through what that means verse by verse, answers three of the most common objections to the deity of Christ, and lands on what it means that life itself is not something Jesus received but something He is.
