"Call of Duty" Pt 1
In this kickoff to our Call of Duty series, we step into the reality of spiritual warfare from 2 Corinthians 10:3–5, learning that our battle isn’t against people and our weapons aren’t carnal but mighty through God to pull down strongholds, cast down imaginations, and take every thought captive to Christ. With vivid military parallels, we expose the enemy’s tactics—disrupting communication (prayer), cutting supply lines (the Word and fellowship), and limiting our ammunition (faith-filled confession)—and rediscover our God-given authority to stand, resist, and build the Kingdom rather than compete with other churches. We’re not called to sit; we’re called to engage with focus, courage, and obedience, clothed in the armor of God and trained for the fight Ephesians 6 describes.
Then we watch the Word come alive through Elisha in 2 Kings 6:8–23 as God opens a servant’s eyes to see the hills ablaze with chariots of fire, reminding us that those who are with us are more than those against us. Even when the enemy surrounds us, God surrounds the enemy, and praise becomes a powerful weapon in the very moment we feel outnumbered. This message will help you move from fear to focus, from reaction to revelation, and from sitting on the sidelines to stepping into the call—praying boldly, seeing spiritually, and living with the confidence that in Christ, the battle belongs to the Lord and the victory is secure.
