What Jesus Went to Prepare
Every believer who has ever waited on something they weren't sure was coming needs to hear the difference between enduring and anticipating.
This message continues our Book of Life series by picking up where the previous three weeks left off. In John 14:1-3, Jesus tells His disciples He is going to prepare a place for them — language rooted in the Jewish wedding tradition, where a groom returns to his father's house to build a room for his bride before coming back for her.
But what exactly did He go to prepare? Revelation 21 and 22 answer that question directly: a city where God dwells with man, where every tear is wiped away, where there is no more temple because the Lamb Himself is the temple, and no more curse because everything sin broke is finally undone. Revelation 21:27 shows the Book of Life in its final appearance in Scripture — not as a courtroom record, but as the entry point into that city.
This message asks what it means to stay committed to something you can't yet see, and what's actually waiting on the other side for those who do.
If you've ever wondered whether the hope you're holding onto is real, this message is for you.
