Blot Me Out of the Book
Two books are opened when we stand before God: the book of our deeds, and the Book of Life. Revelation 20 shows every person, small and great, standing before God as those books are read. But no one balances their good against their bad. What matters is whether your name is covered by the blood.
This message traces that theme back into Exodus, where Moses stands as a picture of Christ, delivering Israel out of bondage and leading them toward the promised land. When the people grow impatient waiting on God, they build a golden calf and call it worship, sincere but deceived. When God threatens to destroy them, Moses pleads to be blotted out of the book himself rather than let the people go destroyed.
Moses offered to take their place. Jesus actually did. He said, "Put it all on me," so that whoever believes in him, though he were dead, yet shall he live.
If you've been going your own way and calling it faithfulness, or you're waiting for a clearer moment to give your life to Christ, this message is for you. Tomorrow isn't promised. Today is.
