When "He" Becomes "You"
Psalm 23 might be the most familiar passage in the Bible, which can make it hard to actually hear. In this message, Isaiah Wilson works through the psalm verse by verse and points out something easy to miss: partway through, the language shifts. The first three verses describe God in the third person. He does this. He restores that. It's all true, but it's untested. Then in verse four, everything changes to "you." David isn't describing God anymore. He's speaking directly to him.
That shift happens in the valley. It's the difference between knowing things about the Shepherd and actually knowing him.
If you're walking through something right now, this message is for you. The valley doesn't have to push you away from God. It can be exactly where your faith gets tested and your relationship with him deepens.
