You Become What You Behold
We become like whatever we fix our attention on. That's true in families, in friendships, and it's true in our walk with God.
In this message, we look at Psalm 111 and Psalm 112 side by side. Psalm 111 describes who God is. Psalm 112 describes a righteous man. The two psalms use the same language on purpose. The righteous man is a reflection of God himself, and you can't understand what a good life looks like until you've first beheld who God is.
Scripture doesn't call us to a checklist of do's and don'ts. It calls us to behold the Lord. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 3:18 that as we behold His glory, we're transformed into His image, one degree at a time.
What you're looking at right now is shaping who you're becoming. This message is an invitation to fix your eyes back on Christ.
