Revelation Pt 45 The Satan's Release

Jun 9, 2026    Isaiah Wilson

The thousand years of Christ's reign have ended. Satan is released from the Abyss and immediately goes out to do what he has always done—deceive. He gathers the nations from the four corners of the earth, numbering them like the sand of the seashore, and marches against the beloved city of Jerusalem. The saints are surrounded with nowhere to run. But then fire comes down from heaven and consumes the entire army in nine words. The rebellion that looked overwhelming is answered with complete finality. And the devil who deceived them is thrown into the lake of fire where the beast and false prophet are already waiting, to be tormented day and night forever and ever.

This passage shows us something sobering about the human heart. Even after living under the direct reign of Christ for a thousand years with no satanic deception and no earthly powers opposing God, people still choose rebellion the moment the opportunity presents itself. The problem was never just the environment. It was the heart. But the passage also shows us something deeply comforting. The enemy who has been deceiving God's people since Genesis 3 has an end that is already written. He is in the lake of fire. Forever. And everyone who belongs to Jesus is safe.
