Revelation Pt 47 All Things New

Jun 30, 2026    Isaiah Wilson

This message walks through Revelation 21:1-8, the arrival of the new heaven and new earth. After the judgment of chapter 20, John sees something that the whole Bible has been building toward since Genesis 3. God's dwelling place comes down to be with his people. Death, mourning, crying, and pain are gone. Not managed. Not eased. Gone.

The heart of this passage is the word "dwell." It's the same word John used in his Gospel for the incarnation, when the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. This message traces that word all the way from the garden, through the tabernacle and temple, to the cross, and finally to this moment where the distance between God and his people closes for good.

This message also looks at what it means to overcome, and why the list of those excluded in verse 8 starts with cowardice rather than something more dramatic. It's a warning against the slow drift of choosing comfort over faithfulness.

The new creation is not a distant hope. It's the promise this whole story has been pointing to from the first page.
